Ruger in many regards with the Ruger 5.56 Model is the mac daddy of AR’s on a consumer level not getting to much into the custom stuff that runs $2000 and up. It comes with a whole slew of accessories including Troy branded products for its $2000 MSRP but can be had for around a $1700 Street price. They have no come out with a Varmint edition named the 5.56VT. With a stainless 20’’ barrel. Looks pretty nice. I think for the same price I’d still prefer the mac daddy 5.56 model but I can tell you it is top heavy. The longer barrel might be nice for those long range shots as well.
